This is the point in the training cycle where the marathoners have to ramp up the miles.18-20/22 Miles will become your friend off and on over the next month or so.
Marathoners - 18 miles - you need to get 6 miles in addition to 12 miles of workout.
(either all before or split it between some miles before and some miles after)
3 Mile warmup. Then 3 miles at goal Marathon pace, mile easy,
2 Miles at goal Marathon pace , mile easy,
then 1 mile faster that goal Pace
3 Mile warmup. Then 3 miles at goal Half Pace, mile easy,
2 Miles at goal Half pace , mile easy,
then 1 mile faster that goal Pace
This route gets you into campus for the fun but also takes you by the water stop at Amherst Park
